The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Operations Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leads water quality stewardship by promoting safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
- Implements robust and reliable water treatment operations through the latest technologies for water processing and equipment reliability.
- Collaborates with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and contractors to resolve problems and to implement projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
- Supports operational excellence through standardization, organization, documentation, data tracking and analysis, training, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to be on-call to resolve urgent issues.
Your Skills and Expertise Â
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Seven (7) years of utilities and/or water systems experience in a private, public, government or military environmentÂ
- Three (3) years of wastewater treatment experience in a private, public, government or military environmentÂ
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Skills include problem-solving, project management, and teamwork
- Â Knowledge of state and federal water quality permitting and regulations
Work location:Â Cottage Grove, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% travel (up to 20% first year)
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
