About the role:

As a Director, Offer Development, North America you will manage the implementation of APX's complex offers. You will also have responsibilities for all LDES offers globally. You will oversee offer development process assets including management of the offer development tool, Responsive, and the content library for all offers working with the APX Delivery team. You will report to the Vice President, Commercial Offer Strategy and Development. 100% Remote role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Offer Managers supporting APX technology and Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) opportunities across North America.

  • Provide coaching, and oversight to ensure proposal development.

  • Manage the proposal portfolio, ensuring you prioritize offers, resource them, and deliver them.

  • Lead the development of customer proposals, integrating technical, commercial, pricing, scheduling, and contractual requirements.

  • Oversee multiple concurrent offers while ensuring you complete deliverables on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, commercial, and business leadership teams to address customer and project-specific requirements.

  • Be the customer interface during the proposal phase, ensuring agreement on bid requirements.

  • Support strategic partnerships and integration activities with external organizations, including engineering, construction, and project delivery partners.

  • Manage Business Development budgets associated with North America and LDES offer development activities.

  • Prepare and communicate proposal status, cost, schedule, and risk updates to Energy Systems leadership.

  • Improve offer development processes, tools, procedures, and best practices.

  • Oversee proposal management systems, content libraries, and knowledge management assets to support efficient offer development.

  • Manage the Definition of Responsibility (DOR) and main interfaces between Offer Development and APX Delivery teams to ensure agreement from proposal through project execution.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree ore equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial offer development, project management, business development, or related leadership roles.

  • Leadership experience in the nuclear industry, including management of complex, teams and projects.

  • Experience leading, developing, and mentoring teams.

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources for large-scale projects and proposal efforts.

  • International and domestic energy project experience.

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government-funded programs, including Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs).

  • AP1000 program knowledge preferred.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $162,000 to $202,500 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
