WAF – Crookston is looking for a CNC Operator to join our Machine Shop team! This is an entry-level opportunity with the chance to learn and grow in the exciting world of CNC machining. Start Your Journey on 1st Shift You’ll begin by training on 1st shift, where you'll learn the ropes, work alongside experienced team members, and build the skills you need to succeed. Then Move to 3rd Shift Once your training is complete, you’ll transition to our 3rd shift team and put your new skills to work! What You'll Do: Operate CNC machines to produce quality parts Load and unload parts and materials Perform basic quality checks and inspections Follow work instructions and safety procedures Keep your work area clean and organized Learn from experienced machinists and continue building your skills Be a dependable teammate who helps keep production moving! Qualifications Required Education and Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.     Desired Education and Experience:  Technical training in CNC Operation or machining. Previous Machine Shop experience.   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: Have the ability to function as a team Have the ability to communicate effectively Use basic shop tools, lifting devices and measuring devices Use basic shop math Read and understand work instructions written in English Have the ability to hear and distinguish between normal and abnormal noises Hand dexterity to manipulate small gauges, knobs and controls Have the ability to stand for extended periods of time (8 – 10 hours) Have the ability to repeatedly and frequently lift up to 50lbs unassisted
