- Operates air compressor, boilers, and auxiliary equipment to furnish air, steam for power, heat and/or processing.
- Work from scheduled power needs, check lists, and follow established procedures.
- Start and shut down equipment; change over boilers as directed.
- Regulate firing and output to safely meet system needs.
- Check equipment periodically; recognize and report defective or malfunctioning equipment.
- Clean boilers, perform general maintenance work and assist in replacing equipment in and around boiler room.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- National Institute for Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers Inc. (NIULPE) or American Society of Power Engineers Fourth Class license (ASPE), or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
