About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of AMP. What you'll do

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and communicate financial performance to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address audit inquiries.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Tax Compliance: Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and coordination with external tax advisors.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and actively contribute to enhancing efficiency.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing financial expertise and assisting in various projects.

Qualification

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is a plus.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 6+ years of relevant work experience in a mixture of public and operational accounting environments.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prior experience in multi-state, multi-site healthcare experience is a plus.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proven track record of exceptional project management, close management, and team management in a hybrid and remote environment.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proven experience in GAAP, financial reporting, variance analysis, and core accounting functions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
