Position Summary

The Director of Education is responsible for refining, implementing, and leading all learning and development initiatives across the organization. This role oversees educational needs and initiatives for Day Spa Service Providers, Med Spa Nurse Injectors, Front of House, and Leadership Development to ensure consistent execution of company standards, exceptional guest experiences, and business performance.

The Director of Education is an impactful leader who understands the direct connection between training, employee development, guest satisfaction, retention, productivity, and financial results. This individual is passionate about developing people, building scalable training programs, creating operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

This position reports directly to the VP of Stores and partners closely with Operations, Human Resources, Field Leadership, and Executive Leadership to ensure education initiatives support team members and drive measurable business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

Strategic Learning & Development

  • Optimize and execute the organization's annual new hire training and advanced education strategy.

  • Implement scalable learning management systems and programs that support company growth and operational excellence.

  • Establish education standards and competency requirements across all departments.

  • Implement career development and learning pathways to support internal promotions and growth.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on business needs and performance data.

  • Lead advanced education initiatives, including treatment certifications and specialty training for licensed providers and service teams.

  • Partner with vendors and industry experts to expand our advance and continued education initiatives.

Training Implementation & Operational Execution

  • Oversee all new hire training, onboarding, and 30/60/90-day development plans to support integration and retention.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs, standard operating procedures, and resource materials for all roles (Spa, Med Spa, Front Desk, Operations).

  • Ensure operational proficiency in systems (e.g., POS, scheduling) and consistent guest experience standards.

  • Coordinate the education calendar, including workshops, certifications, and company-wide events.

  • Support new location openings and operational rollouts through structured, accessible training plans.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Operations, and HR to identify development opportunities and drive organizational goals.

  • Provide coaching, support, and succession planning guidance to managers and emerging leaders.

  • Serve as a trusted resource for performance improvement, talent development, and cultural initiatives.

Measurement & Project Management

  • Lead multiple education initiatives simultaneously, managing timelines, budgets, and communication strategies.

  • Track and report on education effectiveness using dashboards and scorecards to measure impact on retention, productivity, and ROI.

  • Analyze key metrics (guest satisfaction, retention metrics, membership conversion, average ticket value, and operational consistency) to provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Manage training rollouts and organizational change initiatives to ensure consistent execution across all locations.



Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience leading learning and development programs.

  • Experience in spa, med spa, wellness, or service-based industries.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing onboarding and professional development programs.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience developing training systems for both field and leadership teams.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze performance data and connect training outcomes to business results.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting licensed service providers and medical aesthetics teams.

  • Instructional design experience.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience.

  • Experience leading training during rapid growth and multi-location expansion.
