Fissco Supply is seeking a reliable Driver for our Dallas Distribution Center location. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of products to various locations in Texas. Your responsibilities will be operating commercial vehicles such as a van or box truck, while adhering to all safety protocols as well as general warehouse duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans to transport and deliver goods safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies regarding transportation and safety
  • Optimize delivery schedules by planning and navigating efficient routes using GPS technology and digital mapping systems
  • Ensure vehicle safety and compliance by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting maintenance needs, and tracking hours of service
  • Manage end-to-end logistics, including loading, unloading, and verifying inbound merchandise in accordance to facility guidelines
  • Maintains cleanliness inside of the truck
  • Organizes product for easy storage and retrieval
  • Executes warehouse organization strategies, utilizing proper material handling equipment to move, efficiently stack, and store products in designated zones with proper equipment
  • Maintains total compliance with workplace safety standards, including OSHA and SDS (formally MSDS) guidelines, while keeping a clean, orderly, and secure facility at all times.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license with a clean driving history
  • Fully prepared to successfully complete a background and drug screen
  • Proven experience in truck driving and transportation management, including the safe operation of light commercial motor vehicles such as box trucks and vans
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transit regulations and facility safety protocols
  • Highly familiar with warehousing operations and logistics workflows; skilled at route optimization using advanced GPS technology and physical map systems.
  • Physically agile and capable of lifting, moving, and stacking up to 70 pounds on a consistent basis throughout a shift
  • Self-motivated and customer-service orientated professional with sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the capability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
