Job DetailsJob Location: DALLAS, TX - Dallas, TX 75247Position Type: Full TimePosition Summary The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and growing customer relationships within the Dallas/Fort Worth market. This position focuses on identifying new business opportunities, contacting prospective and existing customers, promoting Meats by Linz products, taking and following up on orders, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is confident, motivated, organized, and comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and customer contacts. This individual should have a strong interest in sales and the ability to build relationships with restaurant owners, chefs, purchasing managers, and other foodservice professionals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Generate new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, referrals, networking, and other sales activities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Contact prospective customers to introduce Meats by Linz products and services. Follow up consistently with leads, quotes, samples, and previous customer interactions. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate meat and protein products. Promote premium beef, pork, poultry, lamb, veal, provisions, and specialty products. Communicate product availability, pricing, specifications, and lead times accurately. Prepare and communicate quotes and pricing to customers. Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor orders and communicate any product shortages, substitutions, or delivery concerns. Work closely with Customer Service, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure customer needs are met. Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM or applicable company systems. Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional products, larger orders, and new product introductions. Re-engage inactive or past customers and develop opportunities for repeat business. Meet or exceed established sales goals and activity expectations. Stay informed about product offerings, inventory, pricing, promotions, and market conditions. Assist customers with product questions and provide knowledgeable recommendations. Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward timely resolution. Maintain professional communication and follow company standards when interacting with customers. Participate in sales meetings, training, and product education. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information. Follow all company policies, procedures, GMPs, food safety requirements, and applicable USDA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment This is an on-site sales position in the Dallas, Texas distribution operation. The position primarily works in an office environment but may occasionally enter warehouse, refrigerated, or other operational areas. Employees entering operational areas are required to follow all applicable PPE, GMP, food safety, sanitation, OSHA, USDA, and company safety requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–2 years of sales, inside sales, customer service, foodservice, restaurant, hospitality, or related experience preferred. Previous experience in meat, protein, food distribution, or foodservice sales is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable making outbound sales calls and communicating with customers by phone and email. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills. Excellent follow-up and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple customers and sales opportunities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience using CRM or sales software preferred. Ability to learn product specifications, pricing, and inventory information quickly. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Foodservice or restaurant industry experience. Experience selling beef, pork, poultry, seafood, or specialty food products. Knowledge of premium beef, portion-controlled products, dry-aged products, or specialty proteins. Existing relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, purchasing managers, hotels, country clubs, or other foodservice decision-makers. Experience selling to steakhouses, independent restaurants, hotels, resorts, casinos, or other hospitality accounts. Key Performance Expectations Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales goals. Work collaboratively with the Dallas team to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to frequently communicate by telephone and email. Ability to occasionally walk through warehouse or refrigerated areas. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed. Ability to work in refrigerated/cold environments when entering operational areas.
