About the Role

The Project Coordinator II leads and oversees project teams responsible for packing, moving, delivering, and installing high-value furniture and artwork. This role ensures operations are executed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Supervisors are expected to train team members, uphold service quality, manage job-site documentation, support damage control procedures, and communicate effectively with clients and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Training

  • Direct one or more field crews on assigned jobs, ensuring all tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
  • Evaluate individual and team performance, provide real-time feedback, and address behavioral or quality issues.
  • Reinforce company values, expectations, and professional conduct.

Client & Internal Communication

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients; ensure high levels of satisfaction and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with office staff, the Field Manager, and other departments regarding job updates, challenges, and needs.
  • Attend and lead team meetings focused on operations, safety, and performance goals.

Job Execution & Quality Control

  • Prepare for jobs by reviewing scope, materials, and staffing needs.
  • Supervise the proper handling, packing, transportation, and installation of furniture and artwork.
  • Demonstrate and train advanced techniques in art hanging, furniture assembly, and custom packing.
  • Monitor use of tools, equipment, and vehicles for safety and efficiency.

Damage Control & Problem Solving

  • Investigate and report damages, collaborating with the Field Manager and Damage Control team.
  • Manage communication with clients and staff regarding incident resolution.
  • Promote preventative practices to reduce risk of damage.

Facility, Vehicle & Inventory Oversight

  • Ensure trucks, kits, and tools are clean, organized, and maintained.
  • Support tagging, inventory logging, and entry processes for storage items.
  • Maintain supply levels and assist with inventory consolidation and storage preparation.

Safety, Policies & Procedures

  • Promote OSHA compliance and company safety standards on every job.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and recommend improvements.

Training & Development Support

  • Assist the Operations Manager in updating position guide books and training programs.
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of new hires across field roles.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in moving, delivery, installation, or logistics.
  • Prior supervisory and customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License; must pass background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Basic understanding of rates, billing, and documentation.
  • Able to lift/carry items up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment

  • Frequently exposed to warehouse environments, moving equipment, road travel, and job site variability.
  • May work in high-noise, high-activity settings and must follow safety procedures at all times.
