About the Role:
The Sales and Catering Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional client experiences within the hotel. The coordinator acts as a liaison between clients and operational departments, ensuring all event details are accurately communicated and executed to meet client expectations. By maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors, the role supports repeat business and positive referrals. Ultimately, the Sales and Catering Coordinator contributes to the overall success of the venue by maximizing sales opportunities and delivering outstanding event experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience working in a hotel, conference center, or large-scale event venue.
- Knowledge of catering menus, food and beverage operations, and event planning best practices.
- Familiarity with event management software such as Delphi, Caterease, or Ungerboeck.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of hospitality, sales, catering, or administrative experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Hotel experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Sales team.
- Respond to incoming sales and catering inquiries and route them to the appropriate manager.
- Distribute internal sales and event documents to the appropriate hotel departments, including contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, and related information.
- Maintain organized and accurate sales and catering files and records.
- Assist with data entry and updates in Opera and other sales/event management systems.
- Coordinate event details for internal hotel events only.
- Communicate updates and important information between Sales and hotel departments.
- Assist the Sales team with general correspondence, reports, document preparation, and other administrative needs.
- Help ensure departments receive accurate and timely information for upcoming groups and events.
