Position Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for generating group revenue through the development of new business and management of existing accounts. This position builds strong client relationships, identifies new sales opportunities, and works closely with hotel departments to ensure successful execution of group business while achieving established revenue goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and secure new group business through prospecting, sales calls, networking, site visits, referrals, and industry events.
  • Manage and grow assigned accounts and market segments to maximize revenue and strengthen client relationships.
  • Respond to leads and prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and other sales correspondence.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and effectively present guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage offerings, and hotel amenities.
  • Negotiate group rates, meeting room rental, concessions, and other contractual terms within established guidelines.
  • Achieve or exceed established individual and departmental sales and revenue goals.
  • Maintain accurate account, lead, booking, and sales activity information within hotel sales systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate accounts, organizations, and other key business partners.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Catering, and hotel operations to maximize business opportunities and ensure successful group execution.
  • Participate in sales meetings, networking events, trade shows, client entertainment, and hotel functions as needed.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to other members of the Sales team when appropriate.
  • Represent the Warwick Melrose Dallas professionally within the hotel and community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred.
  • Full-service, luxury, or upscale hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong sales, prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to develop business and achieve established sales goals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth hospitality market preferred.
  • Proficiency with hotel sales systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as business needs require.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
