Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage, building controls wiring, and electrical pre-fabrication solutions in our UL 508A certified panel shop. OVERVIEW
The Senior Warehouse Operations Coordinator supports warehousing and inventory-management activities within the industrial prefab shop. This role helps ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of materials and components required for the assembly of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) racks and panels used in the oil and gas field. The Coordinator works closely with the Inventory and Logistics Manager to maintain organized material flow, accurate inventory, and uninterrupted production support.
DUTIES
The duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Inventory and Logistics Manger in developing a storage and logistics plan for the warehouse operation.
- Ensure rigorous quality control standards are met for all incoming materials.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of inventory, orders, and deliveries.
- Track and trace vendor-supplied equipment, maintaining complete records to support material accountability, asset control, and accounting reconciliation.
- Lead the shipping and receiving of materials, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution to the assembly team.
- Lead logistics operations for the safe, timely shipment of materials to internal DWS locations and external customers.
- Lead and assist with loading and unloading trucks to ensure materials are safely and efficiently transported.
- Lead and assist in building kits for distribution to production areas.
- Lead and coordinate regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and accountability of stock levels.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient workspace.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist in generating comprehensive reports on inventory status, order progress, and supplier performance.
- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and guidelines within the prefab shop.
QUALIFICATIONS
The following skills and qualifications are required or preferred:
- Associates degree or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in warehousing, supply chain, or procurement, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in inventory-management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification or experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following physical requirements apply to this role:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a shop environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as needed.
- Ability to operate and handle machinery and equipment safely.
- Occasional travel to supplier locations may be required.
