Job ResponsibilitiesĀ
Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaĀ
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresĀ
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityĀ
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solvingĀ
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsĀ
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient careĀ
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control proceduresĀ
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryĀ
Assist with processing of specimens when neededĀ
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentĀ
Minimum QualificationsĀ
Associateās degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyĀ
Ā Preferred Qualification:Ā
Current or priorĀ LabcorpĀ experienceĀ
6 months or moreĀ of previous clinical laboratory testing experience
ASCP or AMT certificationĀ Ā
Ā
Additional Job StandardsĀ
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsĀ Ā
Ability to work independently and within a team environmentĀ
High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsĀ
Able to pass a standardized color blindness testĀ
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsĀ
