Primary duties and responsibilities: - Assist with root cause investigations & corrective action implementation for internal & external issues
- Design, document, and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Work with all members of quality team to ensure effectiveness and promote development.
- Conduct trainings on issues or risks identified, both proactively & retroactively.
- Perform customer interactions regarding quality complaints, issues, & assist with audits.
- Inspect incoming products, enforce quality expectations with suppliers, and assist with audits.
- Conduct internal quality audits throughout the plant
- Assist with external audits & managing the QMS System for thorough problem tracking, data analysis, and improvement identification.
- Support Program Management to ensure successful new part launches by developing quality requirements and standards and performing quality measurement analysis.
- Engage with Quality Metrics to promote team growth.
- Effectively interact with employees across all levels of the organization.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge: - 5-7 years of progressive experience in an engineering or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work with others to achieve targets in a diverse work environment.
- In-depth knowledge of PPAP Process, APQP documentation, GD&T, MSA, SPC, SPK, CMM Measurement reading, Kaizen & Lean manufacturing Techniques
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Comfortable with spending at least half of your day out on the production floor.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and quality needs.
- Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
Physical environment/working conditions:Â While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to go between and office and manufacturing environment daily. All applicable PPE is required while walking the manufacturing floor. Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
