Crosspoint Human Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Crisis Counselor to support individuals experiencing emotional distress, trauma, or life challenges. Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Completing crisis assessments, specialized assessments, and additional forms in the electronic health record
- Documenting services in the electronic health record in a timely manner
- Facilitating linkage between individuals served and the appropriate Crosspoint program staff
- Acting as a member of the interdisciplinary team
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8Am to 5Pm with alternating weekends 8Am to 8Pm.

Vermilion County Jail Crisis Counselor
This position is dedicated to providing crisis assessments and supportive counseling to individuals in the Vermilion County Jail.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Completing crisis assessments with inmates at the Vermilion County Jail.
- Providing supportive counseling with inmates at the Vermilion County Jail.
- Providing resources and linking to services for inmates being released.
Schedule: Full time Monday through Friday 10Am-6Pm
Domestic Violence and Transitional Shelter Crisis Counselor
This position is dedicated to providing crisis assessments and supportive counseling to residents of the Crosspoint Human Services Domestic Violence and Transitional Shelter.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Completing crisis assessments with residents of the Domestic Violence and Transitional Shelter.
- Providing supportive counseling to residents of the shelter and their children.
- Providing resources and linking residents of the shelter to needed mental health services.
Schedule: Full time Sunday through Thursday 12Pm to 8Pm
Job Requirements of Crisis Counselors:
- Requires a Bachelorās degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field.
- One year of mental health experience is preferred.
- Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Requires a valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.
