Job purpose

Under the direction of the Revenue Audit Manager, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that revenue generated by all revenue centers of the property are properly calculated and reported.

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the IGB Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of this ICS.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Day-to-day operational supervision of all daily revenue audit functions.
  • Review daily and monthly journal entries to record daily revenue and expense reports.
  • Perform and assist in monthly reconciliation of gaming general ledger assigned accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with the system of internal controls, ensure departmental procedures are followed and any discrepancies are documented. Any discrepancies have an exception report noted.
  • Review of all Gaming and Non-Gaming Audits for completeness, accuracy, and any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for timely reporting of Illinois Gaming Board and accounting departmental daily reporting deadlines.
  • Responsible for coordinating all functions of the on-line gaming systems for accounting and operational issues.
  • Coordinate any necessary procedures to other departments for accurate and timely reporting of data.
  • Adhere to the guest service requirement.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Perform any duties on or off-site involving guest services and quality control including, but not limited to, special events, guest giveaways, crowd control, property cleanliness, and other hospitality functions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Safeguard the confidential information of all employees, department, and company records.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Revenue Audit is required.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license.
  • Must have solid planning, time management, decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals. 
  • Strong computer skills in accounting programs and Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point. 
  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, and occasionally travel.
