We provide turnkey, custom power packages that integrate alternators, cooling systems, controls, switchgear, cabling, and protection, delivered as containerized, skid, or walk-in solutions. Our team manages the full lifecycle from application engineering and 3D design to structural fabrication, wiring and piping, sound and thermal management, code compliance, factory acceptance testing, and site support. With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide. Summary: Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of Manufacturing Engineering leads the manufacturing engineering team through formulating, administering, and coordinating manufacturing engineering policies, practices and programs designed to increase plant productivity, reduce internal and external defects, and reduce costs through improved production methods and optimum utilization of equipment, manpower and materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Hire, train, coach, and manage an integrated Manufacturing Engineering team across all PSI manufacturing facilities. Establish performance standards, evaluating individual and team performance, ensuring company policies are adhered to, and meeting leadership’s goals using PSI’s IMPACT values (Innovation, Motivation, Passion, Accountability, Communication, Trust). Coordinate departmental activities in design and implementation of plant layout, safe manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment to define and support lean, agile and flexible manufacturing processes within established budget. Develop, track, communicate and continuously improve metrics of Business Plan Deployment (BPD) in areas of; Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost throughout the organization as a benchmark for industry standard manufacturing systems and initiate cost reduction projects to assist the organization  in achieving operational KPI goals. Interface with all departments to ensure processes and designs are compatible for new product technology transfer and to establish future process and equipment automation technology. Oversee development of 5S initiatives, Kaizen events, 6 Sigma projects and leading the analysis and implementation of Kanban systems to reduce inventories and other process improvements. Responsible for design, development, maintenance and layout of all Factory automation and equipment on the manufacturing floor. Oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and the readiness coordinator which manages all new Engineering Change Orders and their release into regular production.  Initiate and optimize continuous improvement activities using lean tools for cost reduction, quality improvement, improved efficiency, and improved material flow. Maintains oversight of all product quality analysis activities and is responsible for determining root cause and corrective action for process and manufacturing related issues. Provide manufacturing and industrial expertise and advise, directly and through your team, to customers, management, and other functions within PSI (production, quality, warranty) to support existing and new lean manufacturing initiatives. Adhere to all safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment and navigating the plant with alert behavior. All other duties as assigned by management.    Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another applicable engineering field. Demonstrated success in managing the design and implementation of plant layout initiatives to drive results and continuously improve the manufacturing efficiency and quality. Subject matter expertise in Manufacturing Engineering & Lean Manufacturing methods, tools and techniques implemented in an ISO environment.
