A Typical Day in the Life:
As an accounting intern, you will work alongside Honkamp team members by applying the skills learned in the classroom to real-world, business-impacting projects.
Responsibilities may include:
- Processing monthly accounts
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Prepare state sales and use tax
- Prepare annual 1099 and 1096
- Maintaining client depreciation schedules
- Handle all administrative tasks, as assigned
- Are considering a long-term career in public accounting and want exposure to the industry
- Desire to grow professionally and develop your client service and technical skills
- Want to demonstrate your performance and ability to potentially join Honkamp as a full-time employee
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in accounting.
Successful candidates will have:
- Outstanding academic performance
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication and problem-solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Programs
