Description
Production Associate (I, II or III)– Soldering & Assembly
Davenport, IA | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–3:30 PM | $18-25/hour
Like soldering, but not the typical production environment?
You’ll work in a clean, air-conditioned, low-noise environment alongside a collaborative production team of fewer than 20 people. No huge production floor. No extreme heat. Just a good team, hands-on work, and products where quality matters.
Grace Technologies has been family-owned since 1991, and we’re continuing to grow. We’re looking for someone with soldering experience, attention to detail, and—just as importantly—a great attitude and willingness to help the team.
If you enjoy working with your hands and want an opportunity where you can continue building your skills, this could be a great next step.
What You’ll Do
Soldering will be an important part of your role, but you won’t necessarily do the exact same thing every day.
You may move between different areas of production based on customer demand and the needs of the team, including:
- Soldering and product assembly
- Building GracePort® products
- Kitting components and materials
- Picking parts and orders
- Inspection and quality checks
- Packaging and shipping
- Receiving and inventory support
You’ll use work instructions, build charts, bills of materials, and product configurations to make sure each product is built correctly and meets customer specifications.
Because we work as a team, you’ll also help coworkers when needed to keep orders moving and customers taken care of.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a strong fit if you:
- Have previous soldering experience
- Have good manual dexterity and take pride in quality work
- Pay attention to the small details
- Can follow written work instructions and bills of materials
- Are comfortable learning different areas of production
- Work well independently but enjoy being part of a smaller, collaborative team
- Bring a positive attitude and are willing to jump in where needed
- Can safely lift up to 50 lbs. when required
Previous manufacturing experience is helpful. A high school diploma is expected, and additional technical education or an associate degree can create additional opportunities for growth.
Your Schedule
You’ll work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.
Some overtime is available or may be needed depending on production requirements. Employees with strong soldering skills may have additional overtime opportunities when demand is high.
A Different Kind of Production Environment
If your picture of manufacturing involves a huge, hot, noisy plant, this isn't that environment.
You’ll work in an air-conditioned facility with a relatively low noise level and a close-knit production team of just under 20 people.
We also keep the coffee flowing and provide free coffee, soda, drinks, and snacks every day.
More importantly, you’ll work with people who help one another. We value employees who have a good attitude, want to learn, and care about doing quality work.
You Can Grow Here
Production Associate I doesn’t have to be your final destination.
As you develop your skills and experience, you can have opportunities to progress into a Production Associate II role and take on more responsibility.
If you have the right technical education and aptitude, there may also be opportunities to move toward positions such as Engineering Technician, where you can develop more advanced technical and soldering skills, including work with circuit boards and electronics.
We want people who are interested in learning and growing with us.
