DPC Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced, motivated Veterinary Treatment Technician to join our team!

This is a key role within our hospital and is ideal for a veterinary technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and naturally steps up to keep things moving. The Treatment Technician will play an important role in the day-to-day flow of the hospital, overseeing patient care, coordinating treatment workflow, and supporting the medical team.

We are looking for someone who is confident, organized, proactive, and understands that great veterinary medicine requires both excellent patient care and excellent teamwork.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the daily flow of patients
  • Coordinate and prioritize patient care, treatments, procedures, and hospital needs
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate care, monitoring, and follow-through throughout their stay
  • Anticipate the needs of the doctors and technical team and help keep appointments and procedures moving efficiently
  • Help delegate and coordinate treatment tasks among the technical team
  • Monitor treatment plans and ensure ordered treatments are completed and properly documented
  • Assist with patient procedures, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, catheter placement, laboratory work, radiology, and other technical duties as needed
  • Communicate clearly with DVMs, technicians, CSRs, and management regarding patient status and hospital flow
  • Recognize when priorities need to shift and step in where needed to keep patient care on track
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area
  • Help ensure hospital protocols, safety standards, and patient-care expectations are consistently followed
  • Serve as a resource and positive example for other members of the technical team
  • Help identify workflow challenges and bring forward solutions
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care to every patient

What We're Looking For

  • Veterinary Technician with strong clinical and technical skills
  • Previous experience in a busy veterinary hospital
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing and patient care
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone who can confidently take ownership without needing to be told what to do
  • A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Professional, positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Someone who understands that how we care for our clients and teammates matters just as much as how we care for our patients

The Right Fit for DPC

At DPC, we believe in doing the right thing for our patients, our clients, and our team. We want someone who takes pride in their work, holds themselves and others accountable, and understands the importance of creating a positive experience for every client who walks through our doors.

This position is for someone who wants to be actively involved in the success of the hospital, not someone who simply wants to complete a task list. You should be comfortable taking initiative, helping others, solving problems, and keeping the team moving while maintaining excellent standards of patient care.

If you are a confident veterinary technician who loves patient care, thrives on organization and teamwork, and is ready to take on a key role in the daily operation of a busy veterinary hospital, we would love to meet you!
