The Nurse Manager has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community segment consistent with our position as the Region’s Leader in health care delivery. 
The Nurse Manager is specifically responsible to take actions for: 
• Ensuring cost effective and efficient processes and outcome management for internal and external customers. 
• Achieving seamless delivery of service by appropriately involving colleagues, physicians, other customers, and staff to ensure commitment, communication and cross functional linkages. 
• Collaborating in developing and implementing processes which achieve strategically relevant quality outcomes in a specific functional area. 
• Overseeing and developing systems to ensure accountability for operations and managerial effectiveness. 
• Articulating unit vision and utilizing resources to ensure staff commitment to strategic and unit objectives. 
• Developing a team of highly skilled professionals. 
 



An applicant for this position must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Ohio. The applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or a health related program of studies. Masters Preferred. CPR/ACLS certified. A minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience is preferred. Other demonstrated skills necessary for this position include expertise in: communication across disciplines, change management, managing group dynamics, and performance improvement process
