Cambridge Dental Group is a modern, busy general dentistry practice in Dearborn Heights, MI, and we’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team.

Our Hygiene Assistants play an important role in keeping the day running smoothly while helping our hygienists provide an exceptional patient experience.


What You'll Do

You’ll work closely with our hygienists and clinical team to help create a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience for every patient.

  • Welcome and seat patients for hygiene appointments
  • Prepare patients and review/update medical health histories
  • Take diagnostic dental X-rays — proficiency required
  • Assist hygienists chairside as needed
  • Help keep hygiene appointments running efficiently
  • Turn over and prepare operatories between patients
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Provide friendly, compassionate patient care
  • Work as part of a collaborative and supportive clinical team

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, positive, patient-focused, and ready to grow.

  • Active X-ray certification – REQUIRED
  • Current dental assisting license/certification preferred
  • Previous dental experience preferred
  • Comfortable taking dental X-rays independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and professional
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills

Modern Technology

You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern dental technology and systems, including:

  • Open Dental
  • Digital X-rays
  • iTero
  • Modern dental equipment and technology

Full-Time Schedule

Our schedule offers a full-time workload with a rotating Saturday schedule and a weekday off when you work Saturday.

  • Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM REQUIRED

When you work a Saturday, you’ll receive a weekday off that same week.

Education and Training
