The Senior Director, Human Resources, Core Portfolio, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Quality serves as the strategic people and organization advisor to business leaders across Leica Biosystems' (LBS) global operations. The role is responsible for aligning workforce strategy, organizational capability, leader effectiveness, and transformation initiatives with business objectives.

This position partners with leaders to improve organizational performance through workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, leadership development, change leadership, and business transformation. The role influences critical business decisions affecting organizational structure, capability, productivity, growth, and long-term competitiveness across global functions and operating sites.

This position reports to VP Human Resources and is part of the LBS HR Leadership Team and will be onsite in Deer Park, IL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Translate business strategy into workforce, leadership, and organizational plans that drive growth, improve performance, and create sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Influence senior leadership decisions by providing strategic counsel on talent, organizational effectiveness, and business transformation.
  • Enable business performance through effective leadership, strong organizational health, and a culture aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Shape organizational structures and workforce strategies that maximize productivity, agility, and return on talent investment.
  • Build future-ready organizational capability by proactively identifying and addressing critical talent, leadership, and skills risks.
  • Deliver practical, scalable solutions that balance enterprise objectives with evolving business and market demands.
  • Guide complex people-related decisions with a focus on business impact, risk management, and long-term organizational success.
  • Orchestrate large-scale change and transformation efforts that accelerate adoption, protect business continuity, and realize intended business outcomes.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience supporting complex global organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, translating business strategy into workforce, organizational, and talent priorities that drive business performance.
  • Proven expertise in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership capability, succession strategy, and organizational design.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale business transformation, restructuring, integration, or operating model evolution initiatives across global and matrixed environments.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to assess organizational tradeoffs, influence resource allocation decisions, and align talent investments with strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrated data fluency and experience using analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions to generate insights, influence decisions, and measure organizational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in complex global environments, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, applying continuous improvement principles, and delivering measurable business results.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The annual salary range for this role is $230,000 to $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
