The Underwriting Account Executive leads the execution and servicing of assigned accounts, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to support successful placement, retention, and growth. This role manages the full account lifecycle—from submission through binding and renewal—while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with client and carrier requirements.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

Manage accounts from submission through binding, including coordinating all required documentation and communicationsÂ
Partner with brokers and underwriters to solicit, quote, and maintain new and renewal businessÂ
Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, deductibles, enhancements, and exclusionsÂ
Select appropriate carriers and manage the marketing process for assigned accountsÂ
Prepare and deliver quotes, coverage comparisons, and recommendations to support placement decisionsÂ
Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and carrier guidelinesÂ
Issue binders, invoices, and confirm coverage details, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurateÂ
Maintain ongoing communication with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of account activitiesÂ
Support retention and renewal strategies by identifying opportunities to expand coverage and strengthen client relationshipsÂ
Provide guidance and direction to support staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow and service deliveryÂ
Conduct research and prepare account or market analysis to support client and business development effortsÂ
Maintain accurate records and manage all correspondence in accordance with company standardsÂ
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier capabilities through ongoing education and trainingÂ

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEÂ

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
Progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support roles (typically 3+ years)Â
Demonstrated experience managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activitiesÂ
Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage structures, and market dynamicsÂ
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions with limited supervisionÂ
Â
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSÂ
Active state insurance license required in applicable lines of businessÂ
Â
FUNCTIONAL SKILLSÂ
Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier guidelinesÂ
Ability to negotiate terms and evaluate coverage options to support optimal placement outcomesÂ
Effective account management skills across the full lifecycle (submission, quoting, binding, renewal)Â
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface across internal and external stakeholdersÂ

The annual base salary for this position is $80k - $100k.
