What You'll Do

At BarcadeĀ®, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and service at a specific Barcade location. This includes managing designated shifts, coordinating staff training, handling administrative tasks, and leading the location’s beer program. The AGM is a visible and active presence on the floor, ensuring smooth service, brand consistency, and guest satisfaction.

Job Snapshot

  • Lead and manage designated service shifts with a focus on timing, pace, and guest experience
  • Assist in training and onboarding new hires across departments; support coaching, real-time feedback, and staff development
  • Submit time and attendance records and complete cash drop documentation
  • Manage the Beer Program, including ordering, inventory, POS administration, beer menus, and beer education
  • Ensure front-of-house and guest-facing areas reflect Barcade’s standards of quality and brand identity
  • Support small repairs and maintenance tasks, particularly in the game area
  • One bartending shift per week

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in bar or restaurant management, with direct responsibility for service leadership
  • Full-time availability, including late nights, holidays and weekend shifts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead service teams, manage floor operations, and respond in real time to service issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through on administrative tasks, including scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting
  • Solid knowledge of craft beer styles, service standards, and storage
  • Willingness to learn light game maintenance or repairs (training provided)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar, kitchen, and arcade environment
  • TIPS and CBS certification within 90 days (or already certified)Ā 
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including remaining on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
