REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
Metro Detroit, Michigan — Remote | Full-time (M–F) | Salary + Bonus | Benefits
Compensation D.O.E.: $90,000–$120,000
LANGUAGE & TRAVEL: Professional working proficiency in French and English is strongly preferred. This role supports customers throughout Québec and surrounding Canadian markets, as well as customers in the United States. It requires approximately 30% travel to Canada and within the United States by air or car. The employee must live within approximately 45 minutes of a major airport.

What You'll Do
CAF is looking for a Regional Account Manager to grow an established portfolio of customers across the U.S. and Canada. You'll build trusted relationships from the store level to corporate leadership, expand CAF programs, and drive measurable sales growth across hundreds of customer locations.
This role offers significant autonomy to manage your territory, solve customer challenges, and turn opportunities into results.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute CAF's account-management strategy as a collaborative member of the team.
- Retain current sales and deliver agreed-upon growth within assigned accounts.
Other Roles and Responsibilities
- Grow existing accounts through customer calls, meetings, and training—both in person and virtually.
- Monitor program execution through sales data, customer feedback, and site visits.
- Build relationships from store management to corporate leadership to strengthen CAF program adoption.
- Create account strategies that expand product use, program support, and profitable sales.
- Plan efficient business travel throughout the territory and manage expenses responsibly.
- Keep CRM records, work plans, reports, and sales forecasts accurate and current.
- Track competitors, market trends, pricing, products, and best practices.
- Resolve customer concerns and recommend improvements based on field insights.
- Tailor sales presentations, training, and support to each customer's needs.
- Partner with CAF leaders and sales teammates on rollouts, training, product testing, and account support.
What It Takes to Succeed
- Minimum of three years of successful sales experience; experience in retail fuel, convenience, grocery, or selling into those industries is a plus but not required.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English is strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% to Québec and surrounding Canadian markets and within the United States.
- Residence within approximately 45 minutes of a major airport.
- Strong ownership, sound judgment, and alignment with CAF's culture and team values.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and proven problem-solving ability.
- Strong computer and organizational skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and virtual meeting tools.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional and consistent work habits, a strong work ethic, and drive to achieve customer and company goals.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to test new ideas and contribute solutions.
- Ability to satisfy CAF's pre-employment screening requirements.

- C-store, retail petroleum, grocery, chemical, distribution, or JanSan experience.
- A confident, articulate, and professional communication style.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to distinguish urgent work from high-value work.
- The ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.
- A desire to learn, grow, and take on broader responsibility over time.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Reports To
The Regional Account Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Account Management, Aaron Nelson, whose background aligns closely with the customers CAF serves.
