At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. This position combines retail leadership, financial management, and mission-driven work to maximize net revenues that support our life-changing ARC Program. Lead a dynamic retail operation while making a meaningful impact in your community.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Strategic Leadership & AdministrationÂ
- Develop and implement comprehensive business, strategic, and financial plans to increase net revenueÂ
- Conduct detailed sales and productivity analysis with actionable forecastingÂ
- Provide Key Performance Indicator (KPI) evaluations and strategic recommendationsÂ
- Lead marketing strategy development and implementation across all storesÂ

Financial ManagementÂ
- Partner with finance department to create and manage multi-store budgetsÂ
- Monitor monthly budget reports and identify areas for improvementÂ
- Guide store supervisors and managers in expense control and scheduling optimizationÂ
- Oversee purchasing and tracking of Goods Purchased for Resale (GPR)Â
Â
Team Leadership & DevelopmentÂ
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise Regional Manager 1 and Store ManagersÂ
- Conduct monthly leadership meetings with store supervisors and managersÂ
- Ensure compliance with all TSA Human Resources policies and proceduresÂ
- Support corrective action processes with proper documentationÂ
- Approve bi-weekly payroll for all store personnelÂ

Store Operations ExcellenceÂ
- Set and monitor product acquisition, production, and sales goals for each locationÂ
- Coordinate delivery schedules and inventory management across storesÂ
- Provide Level 1 technical support for Point of Sale systems and resolve operational issuesÂ
- Conduct regular store inspections to ensure branding standards and operational excellenceÂ
- Oversee implementation of safety, security, and Safe From Harm GuidelinesÂ

Program IntegrationÂ
- Collaborate with ARC Director for Rehabilitative Services to maximize work therapy opportunitiesÂ
- Support beneficiary success through strategic store assignments and training coordinationÂ
Â
Property & Strategic GrowthÂ
- Oversee property maintenance coordination and OSHA complianceÂ
- Evaluate expansion and contraction opportunities with TSA LeadershipÂ
- Manage lease renewals and property-related documentationÂ

What You NeedÂ
RequiredÂ
Education & ExperienceÂ
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing preferredÂ
- 4+ years of staff management and development experienceÂ
- Thrift store management experience strongly preferredÂ
- Combination of education and relevant experience consideredÂ
- Valid Driver's License with ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation ArmyÂ

- Excellent English communication skills for leadership and field personnel interactionsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills preferredÂ
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesÂ

Schedule FlexibilityÂ
- Available for flexible scheduling including early shifts, late shifts, and SaturdaysÂ
- Ability to work some holidays as neededÂ
- Willingness to transfer between store locations when requiredÂ
- Regular travel to multiple store propertiesÂ

- Ability to stand, walk, and reach regularly throughout the workdayÂ

- Retail environment that may include varying noise levels, dust, and temperature fluctuations.Â
