Overview
Kerry Brothers Truck Repair is looking for a dependable, organized Parts Receiver to join our Detroit team. This position plays an important role in keeping our shop running efficiently by receiving incoming parts, verifying orders, organizing inventory, and making sure parts get to the right jobs and technicians.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Location: Detroit, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Receive and inspect incoming parts and deliveries
- Verify parts received against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
- Check quantities, part numbers, and condition of received items
- Identify and report shortages, damaged parts, or incorrect shipments
- Label, organize, and stock incoming parts
- Stage and distribute parts for technicians and active repair orders
- Maintain an organized receiving and parts storage area
- Assist with tracking backorders and outstanding parts
- Help process returns, cores, and warranty parts
- Communicate with Parts, Service, and technicians regarding incoming orders
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory organization
- Help maintain accurate parts records in company systems
- Load, unload, move, and organize parts as needed
- Perform other parts department duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using computers and learning parts/inventory software
- Good communication skills
- Ability to accurately match part numbers and paperwork
- Ability to lift and move truck parts and other materials throughout the workday
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, automotive, or heavy-duty truck parts experience is a plus
- Heavy-duty truck parts knowledge is a plus, but not required

This later shift helps support our technicians and service operations through the end of the workday and ensures incoming parts are properly received, organized, and available when needed.
