Job Description Summary

Employees in this category have direct and primary responsibility for supervising an assigned group of children. The job duties of this position are in accordance with Minimum Standards for Day Care Centers.


Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

       1. Must be 19 years of age.   A Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.  A minimum of a Child Development Credential (CDA) or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/Development or Child Development is required.  Experience working with children in a group format preferred.

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate in stressful situations.

SKILLS:

       1.  Basic knowledge of child development (discipline, behavior and curriculum).
