Kunkel & Associates is an independent insurance brokerage and consulting firm specializing in Transportation, Commercial Insurance, Employee Benefits, Risk Management, Safety Consulting, and Claims Management.
Headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, with additional offices in Madison, Wisconsin, and Kansas City, Kansas, we've welcomed students from more than 19 colleges and universities, and over 30 former interns have gone on to build full-time careers with Kunkel.

Locations: Dubuque, Iowa and Kansas City, Kansas
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (flexible hours)
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus but not required.
