Job Location: Huntsville, AL

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off   

 

Job Description: 

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products 

  • Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation 

  • Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required

 

Qualifications:  

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field within the last 12 months, regardless of age.    

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms 

  • Must be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities 

  • Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue 

  • Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue and damage tolerance principles
