Job Purpose/Description:Â
Student Music Librarians are invaluable contributors to the success of the CSS Music Program through their work on administrative tasks in the Music Library. They also support our music ensembles and music faculty members on a daily basis and with events throughout the semester.
Job Duties:
Opening, closing, and staffing the Music Library (located in Tower 4615) on weekdays
Assisting library patrons with finding and checking out materials
Cataloging, processing and re-shelving materials
Assisting Music Ensemble directors with preparing music, photocopies, folders, and other rehearsal needs
Helping with ushering and ticket sales for Music Program concerts in Mitchell Auditorium and off-campus (some evenings and weekends)
Helping to plan and execute events, including Honor Band, Honor Choir, O Holy Night, and other concerts
Assisting with various other projects and tasks as needed by the Music Program and music faculty and staff
Required Qualifications:Â
Must be a current or incoming CSS studentÂ
Federal work study eligibility is required (international students exempt)Â
Computer/keyboarding skills
Evidence of reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
Previous library experience
Previous musical experience
