About the Role:
JRK Steel Inc is looking for a motivated and dependable Shop Hand / Delivery Driver to join our team in Duluth, MN! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in keeping our steel operations running smoothly — from the shop floor to the customer's door.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and organize steel materials, products, and supplies in the shop
- Operate delivery vehicles to transport steel products to customer job sites and locations
- Assist shop staff with material handling, cutting, and general production support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and shop environment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols when handling heavy materials and operating equipment
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and represent the company professionally
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy materials, including steel products
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shop, or delivery role preferred
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to workplace safety standards
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
