Shift: Friday-Sunday 12-hour Shifts (6AM-6PM)Â

Position Overview: The HVAC Repair Line Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the repair line within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role leads a small team of technicians to ensure efficient troubleshooting, repair, modification, and startup of HVAC and PTAC units while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The Repair Line Leader serves as the technical expert and primary point of escalation for complex service issues.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee daily operations of the repair line, ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are metÂ
- Supervise, coach, and support HVAC Technicians; provide hands-on guidance as neededÂ
- Serve as escalation point for complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/PTAC unitsÂ
- Ensure proper interpretation and execution of wiring diagrams, unit rewiring, and system modificationsÂ
- Oversee and assist with unit modifications to meet customer-specific requirements, including:Â
- Control board installationsÂ
- Electric heat additionsÂ
- Backup heat wiring configurationsÂ
- Thermostat integrations (including digital and remote wall stats)Â
- Coordinate and verify completion of unit start-ups for new building installationsÂ
- Ensure accurate documentation and logging of:Â
- Start-upsÂ
- Service calls and follow-upsÂ
- Repairs and modificationsÂ
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all units meet company and customer specifications prior to releaseÂ
- Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve recurring issues and improve processesÂ
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and proceduresÂ
- Assist with workflow planning, staffing needs, and prioritization of service line activities

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of HVAC experience requiredÂ
- Strong working knowledge of PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) systemsÂ
- Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment requiredÂ
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferredÂ
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and mechanical componentsÂ
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ability to lift, move, and install HVAC/PTAC unitsÂ
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environmentÂ
- Frequent use of hand and power toolsÂ
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
