Job Description:

Key Projects & Responsibilities

  • Scripting & Automation: Assist in developing and maintaining scripts to automate tasks such as lab environment configuration, provisioning, system maintenance, and more. Comfort with at least one scripting language such as Python or PowerShell is expected, and the ability to quickly learn new tools is essential.
  • Network Redesign Project: Support the transition of our data center infrastructure from the current design to a secure and properly segmented architecture. Tasks include assisting with design documentation, VLAN configuration, firewall rule development, testing connectivity across segmented environments, and as-built documentation.
  • In-House AI / Threat Intelligence System: Contribute to the deployment of an internal AI-driven cybersecurity platform focused on network traffic analysis and threat visualization. The primary deliverable is a live internal threat map that surfaces potential security concerns by mining inbound and lateral network traffic.
  • General Lab & Environment Support: Assist with maintaining and enhancing lab environments across all four program areas: CNTS, CLDE, CWEB, and CYBR. Support instructors with technical setup, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in one of the following programs: CNTS, CLDE, CWEB, or CYBR
  • Working knowledge of scripting or automation concepts
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Strong academic standing
  • Reliable attendance record and active classroom participation
  • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
