Job Title: District Manager – Training & Development Focus

Location: Durango/Farmington

Reports To: Director of Operations

Position Summary

As a District Manager, you will lead multiple Jimmy John’s locations, with a primary focus on developing people and building a high-performing team culture. You will be expected to mentor, train, and grow store leadership, ensure operational excellence, and drive store-level performance. Your role will ensure alignment with our company’s vision and core values while creating a consistent guest experience, fostering a strong bench of future leaders, and upholding CHC Unified and brand standards.


Key Responsibilities

Training & Development (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and implement district-wide training programs that align with the company's Vision and People components of EOS.
  • Identify and mentor high-potential team members, ensuring they align with the company's core values and are developed for future leadership opportunities.
  • Use EOS tools like Scorecards and Rocks to measure and evaluate the success of training programs and adjust based on performance feedback.
  • Partner with store GMs to ensure consistent execution of training standards and performance coaching.

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the operations of multiple locations, ensuring alignment with EOS principles—particularly around accountability—while upholding brand standards for speed, quality, cleanliness, and service.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, reinforce expectations, and support management teams.
  • Support stores in achieving financial goals including labor control, food costs, and overall profitability.
  • Analyze store performance using KPIs and district scorecards, using results to guide action plans.

Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Build and nurture a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement that aligns with CHC Unified’s core values and EOS vision.
  • Conduct weekly EOS Level 10 Meeting framework to address key issues, track progress, and implement action plans.
  • Serve as a role model by exhibiting Servant Leadership and inspiring store leaders to lead by example.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, celebrate team achievements, and hold team members accountable for their roles.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure all stores operate in compliance with health, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Maintain alignment with corporate and company standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of multi-unit management experience (QSR or fast casual preferred).
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing teams, with a strong emphasis on the People Component of EOS.
  • Hands-on experience with EOS implementation, including self-led rollout of foundational tools such as the Accountability Chart, Level 10 Meetings, Scorecards, Rocks, and the Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO).
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, supporting the creation of a cohesive and accountable leadership team.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with the ability to track, interpret, and act on performance data using EOS tools.
  • Highly organized and solutions-oriented, with a track record of prioritizing, problem-solving, and managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
