Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Choctaw Nation through inventory control of its fixed assets including equipment location and tagging, data entry and related property control tasks. You will report to the Accounting Manager.

Full Time | Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Start Rate: $23.93/hr

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will develop schedule, assign staff, and conduct all Annual/Blind Inventories.

2.       Responsible for training of Property Control Specialists.

3.       Ensure all qualifying assets are tagged, inventoried, recorded, and entered in the accounting system when received.

4.       Educate staff and other departments on proper fixed asset control procedures (transfers, surplus) to ensure compliance with established controls and procedures.

5.       You will recommend improvements, adaptations or revisions to inventory procedures and reporting.

6.       Research fair market value to establish basis for property received as surplus equipment or donations.

7.       Coordinate, and tour newly constructed facilities for equipment identification.

8.       Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements:

·         A High School Diploma or GED

·         Ten key and Microsoft Office Suite proficient

·         Ability to work with other departments and associates at different levels to ensure that the processes are managed and meet audit guidelines

·         Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

·         Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license

·         Two (2) years’ experience doing inventory control processes with an understanding of capital vs expense guidelines
