Manager, Emerging Client Collections

The Manager, Emerging Client Collections is responsible for leading a team of collections specialists focused on IQVIA's emerging and higher-risk customer segments, including BioTech, MedTech, pre-commercial, and other assigned accounts. This role provides oversight of a significant accounts receivable portfolio and is accountable for improving collection effectiveness, protecting cash flow, enhancing forecast accuracy, and proactively identifying customer payment risk early in the collection lifecycle. The position requires strong leadership, sound business judgment, financial discipline, and the ability to balance cash recovery, customer relationships, and business risk in a high-volume environment.

Essential Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of collections specialists supporting emerging and higher-risk client accounts.
  • Drive collection performance, cash flow protection, aging reduction, and issue resolution across a large, complex portfolio.
  • Oversee collection strategy for high-risk accounts, large balances, delayed payments, disputes, and escalations requiring senior-level intervention.
  • Monitor portfolio trends, payment behavior, disputes, and forecast risk to proactively identify and mitigate collection challenges.
  • Partner with Commercial, Finance, Operations, Billing, and Project Finance teams to resolve issues impacting customer payment and cash realization.
  • Support cash forecasting, portfolio reviews, escalation management, and performance reporting to improve visibility and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, KPI reporting, and operational discipline to enhance scalability, efficiency, and customer experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, collections, cash forecasting, customer payment behavior, and dispute resolution.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume finance operations environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess aging, exposure, payment trends, and collection risk.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner across Finance, Commercial, Operations, Billing, and customer-facing teams.
  • Sound business judgment to balance cash recovery, customer relationships, operational needs, and risk management.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel-based reporting, portfolio management, and forecasting tools.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $70,600.00 - $176,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
