Slitter Line Lead

We're looking for a Slitter Line Lead to join our team in Durham, NC. If you're passionate about manufacturing leadership, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to help produce premium trading card products enjoyed by fans around the world.

Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite 7am-7pm (2,2,3,2 shift rotation)
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay + comprehensive benefits package

Summary

The Slitter Line Lead provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support for Slitter production operations while ensuring safety, quality, security, and production standards are achieved.

This hands-on leadership role works closely with operators, supervisors, and support teams to drive productivity, maintain quality standards, support employee development, and help ensure customer requirements are met. The ideal candidate combines technical manufacturing experience with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support daily activities of Slitter production team members.
  • Mentor, train, and support new and existing operators to promote operational excellence.
  • Assist with onboarding and development of production personnel.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot common production issues and support machine adjustments when required.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
  • Review and communicate production priorities and job requirements.
  • Ensure team members follow job jacket specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Training, and Operations teams to maintain production standards.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with attendance tracking, staffing coordination, and operational documentation.
  • Promote and enforce safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies.
  • Support compliance with ISO requirements, QMS procedures, and security protocols.
  • Help maintain a positive, productive, and team-focused work environment.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing, production, printing, converting, or industrial experience.
  • Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment is highly desirable.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience using production systems and Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
