Summary: This employee is responsible for setting up data entry in the tag making program, for precise labelling for food prepping. Create daily labels and checklists with precision, to make sure every program meal request is fulfilled, and every line cook receives the exact labels related to his/her line of work. 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Tags & Reports Making
    • Set up data related to clients, recipes and menus in the tag-making software to produce labels.
    • Create tags in a timely manner, ensuring precision to facilitate smooth food planning and preparation.
    • Create driver checklists to ensure the correct food is delivered as requested by the programs.
    • Communicate any changes in program food counts/other information to internal teams and ensure labels and driver checklists are updated.
    • Communicate prep totals with the Inventory and Procurement teams on time to aid forecasts in order.
    • Act as a backup for estimations process, when Logistics Manager is not available.
  2. Client and Field Manager Communication
    • Contact clients/field managers regarding any missing counts on the online ordering database.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and third-party vendors using a calm and respectful approach.
  3. Accuracy and Cross-Referencing
    • Cross-reference meal counts, portions, and third-party vendor orders with daily menus to ensure 100% accuracy.
    • Track program calendars to ensure proper counts are entered on the correct day.
  4. Third-Party Vendor Coordination
    • Determine the program’s pizza needs (or other food needs from third-party vendors) if specified by the menu and coordinate related information from clients.
    • Update pizza grid/third-party order grids based on clients’ needs and create pizza calendars to be sent monthly to the pizza vendor.
  5. Software and Program Updates
    • Revise, update/clean-up the information in tagging system as needed by logistical changes within the organization for better operations.
    • Maintain naming conventions of data in the tagging system for efficient retrieval of information.
  6. General Duties
    • Communicate effectively with customers and staff using a calm and respectful approach.
    • Meet deadlines, prioritize company assignments, and maintain professional composure under pressure and dynamic conditions.
    • Maintain high level of accuracy in data usage related to menu/recipe and tagging portions.
    • Perform other related duties and complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in data handling or math related field is necessary. Knowledge of databases and logical analytical skills is preferred. Prior knowledge in Food industry is preferred.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating instructions, and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent customer service support. Ability to work in a team environment.

Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, division and some algebra. Attention to detail and accuracy is key.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to analyze using logical reasoning skills.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer operating skills and Microsoft office products along with accurate data/database handling skills and logical analytical skills.
