The Role
Devil Mountain Wholesale Nursery is seeking a performance-driven Sales Account Manager to deliver best-in-class service while driving sales growth at our Eagle Creek, Oregon location. This role manages the full sales lifecycle, from estimates and inventory inquiries to order processing, delivery coordination, and invoicing.
The Sales Account Manager builds strong customer relationships, anticipates contractor needs, and leverages plant knowledge and operational awareness to ensure accurate, timely, and professional execution. This position partners closely with Dispatch, Purchasing, Inventory, and Yard teams to deliver consistent results and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Drive sales performance and meet established goals
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Provide accurate estimates, inventory availability, and product guidance
- Offer substitutions and proactive solutions when inventory constraints arise
- Manage orders from entry through delivery and invoicing with precision
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure seamless execution
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all customer interactions
What You Bring
Required
- 2+ years in nursery, landscape, or related industry
- Sales and customer service experience
- Strong plant knowledge or ability to quickly develop expertise
- Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems
 Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in a high-volume wholesale or contractor-focused environment
Work Environment
This is an in-office role with regular presence in the nursery yard. No remote option is available. Work includes extended sitting or standing, extensive typing and 10-key use, outdoor exposure to varying weather conditions, and navigating uneven ground surfaces. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs approximately 20% of the time is required.
