COUNSELOR w/ CREATIVE ARTS BACKGROUND

Community Psychiatric Institute, a leader in Behavioral Healthcare and Chemical Dependency treatment for over 53 years in Essex County, has an opening for a Full-time Counselor / Creative Arts Therapist in our Partial Care program.

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health - Creative Arts Counselor to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using creative, and recreational arts to support individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

Responsibilities include:

ï‚· Providing group and individual counseling in our outpatient setting.

ï‚· Performing timely medical records documentation including weekly progress notes and treatment plans.

ï‚· Work as a part of our Multidisciplinary Team.

ï‚· Develop and run Creative and Expressive Arts groups.

Requirements:

* Creative or Recreational arts background.
* Experience working with mental health & substance abuse populations.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mental health/counseling related field.
