SUMMARY:
Delivers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to external guests. Entry of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages into the Point of Sale (POS) system. This is a tipped position.

MINIMUM NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
● None
Experience:
• Must have 3 months’ experience in a guest service-related work environment.
● Must obtain SERVSafe Certification within 90-days and maintain throughout employment.
● Michigan TAM certification or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
● Experience working with a Tribally run casino and/or resort preferred.
Age Requirement:
● At least 18 years of age

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Conditions of employment with Little River Casino Resort include passing a pre-employment drug test excluding marijuana, passing Resorts background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position and successfully completing a 90-day introductory period.
Individuals must not have been charged or released from employment or involved in anything which could be considered a liability to the Resort, e.g. harassment, theft, violence, or integrity issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Warmly greet and acknowledge guests to ensure a positive first impression.
● By taking beverage orders, relaying them to the bartender via Point-of-Sale System, educating guests on offerings, and delivering drinks promptly and accurately.
● Requesting and verifying acceptable forms of identification for verifying the legal age of a guest before service of alcohol or tobacco.
● Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order entry and payment processing.
● Maintain a general understanding of Little River Casino Resort events, promotions, and guest programs to assist guests effectively.
● Keep the service bar and work areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
● Perform all responsibilities in accordance with established service standards and procedures.
● Properly request and process comps, coupons, and payments for alcoholic beverages.
● Complete all assigned training programs provided by the Resort and the Food & Beverage Department.
● Adhere to all safety policies and procedures established by the Resort and Food & Beverage Department.
● Remain familiar with and follow all emergency and evacuation procedures.
● Comply with the Resort’s Health & Safety Program requirements.
● Must be aware of and adhere to the Resorts Health & Safety Program.
● Perform additional duties assigned by management or department leadership.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate Point of Sale System for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of more than 4 hours. This position requires a combination of physical activity and adaptability to various work settings. Team members may frequently need to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, hear, and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. Extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading are common. Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or moving of items up to 50 pounds is required; team lifting is necessary for anything over those 50 pounds. Vision requirements include reading documents and screens, distance, and color perception. Clear verbal and written communication are essential and may occur in person, by phone, or electronically.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work may take place in diverse environments throughout the Resort, including offices, the gaming floor, food outlets, hotel areas, and convention or entertainment venues—often featuring flashing lights, loud noises, and exposure to smoke. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including working all hours, shifts, holidays, and occasional overtime as assigned or according to business needs. Team members must be able to work for extended periods and handle high volumes of direct public interaction, including occasional encounters with upset or confrontational individuals.
