Exact compensation negotiable based on skills and experience. Summary: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. This position will be assigned to the Edmond Library, which is located at 10 S Blvd, Edmond, OK 73034. The ideal candidate will work the following shift: Thursday 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. *Schedule is subject to change according to the needs of the library*  The Metropolitan Library System offers a comprehensive benefits package for half-time employees Vacation Leave @ 4 hours per month Sick leave @ 4 hours per month Twelve paid holidays (subject to date of hire) Additional benefit information can be found under Working at MLS   Our first application review is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026. HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience. Experience building sustainable community relationships. High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
