Job DetailsJob Location: Madison County Administration Building - Edwardsville, IL 62025Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $27.76 - $27.76 HourlyJob Shift: DayJob Category: AFSCMEGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists Fiscal Officer in performing department budgetary functions and related accounting activities in conformance to State and Federal regulations for the County’s Community Development Department. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: performs department budgetary functions and related accounting activities in conformance to State and Federal regulations for the County’s Community Development Grant Programs monitors and maintains cash balances for Community Development Block Grant and Emergency Shelter Grant; requests cash when required; codes, records and processes cash invoices within a three-day deadline after receipt of funds; ensures and monitors compliance with federal regulations reviews general ledger reports and reconciles balances within project files; assists in preparing annual performance report to HUD receives and refers inquiries, researches and provides information to external agencies/personnel and County department/personnel monitors non-profit agencies under contract with ESG for financial compliance maintains knowledge of changes in State and Federal programmatic requirements to ensure compliance monitors and maintains cash balances for the Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Program, requests cash as required; codes, records and processes invoices; ensures and monitors compliance with federal regulations performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, two (2) years related work experience and a valid driver’s license are required Application Information This description is intended to indicate the kinds of tasks and levels of difficulty that will be required of positions that will be given this title and shall not be construed as declaring what the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position shall be.
