Join our team as a Residential Direct Support Professional and provide essential support to individuals in a residential setting. Position Summary As a Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, including medication administration, meal planning, transportation, and personal care. You’ll help clients manage their budgets, maintain a safe and clean environment, and achieve their personal goals through Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily Support: Provide day-to-day services in residential settings, including training, meal preparation, and shopping. Health & Safety: Administer medications as prescribed, monitor health concerns, and maintain emergency equipment. Report health changes and incidents promptly. Financial Assistance: Help clients manage budgets, maintain spending records, and organize receipts. Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in community activities and accessing local resources. Client Development: Work closely with clients to meet their personal goals, ensuring PCSPs are implemented and documented effectively. Home Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, assisting with cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks. QualificationsQualifications Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the past 36 months). Automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Kansas. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Working with people with developmental disabilities. Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively. Basic computer skills, including data entry and documentation. Commitment to maintaining the rights, dignity, and respect of all clients.
