Constellation Schools are seeking a highly qualified K-3rd Grade Teacher in Elyria, Ohio, who are dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. About the Opportunity:Â
Responsibilities of the Elementary School Teacher include:
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school yearÂ
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all studentsÂ
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and developmentÂ
- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instructionÂ
- Manage student behavior in the classroomÂ
- Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn inÂ
- Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the studentsÂ
- Implement school-wide culture expectations and normsÂ
- Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their childÂ
- Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learningÂ
- Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as neededÂ
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleaguesÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ
About You:Â
- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to properly manage confidential information
- Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks Â
- Experience working within an urban environmentÂ

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $38,500-48,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
