Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Foreman Millwright to lead maintenance and installation activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate complex projects efficiently. As a key team member, you will oversee maintenance operations, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to uphold high standards of safety and quality.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise millwright activities related to machinery installation, repair, and maintenance across the manufacturing facility
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters
  • Perform precision measurements with specialized instruments to ensure machinery alignment and calibration meet specifications
  • Conduct electrical diagnostics on systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and low voltage controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using welding (including welding techniques), hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems to minimize downtime
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management, inventory control, and maintenance scheduling
  • Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment specifications, repairs, and system upgrades when needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities with strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery
  • Extensive industrial mechanic experience with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting documents
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, HVAC knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts and other aerial work platforms safely (certification preferred)
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ammeters, ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics
  • Knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage wiring, high voltage safety procedures, electrical maintenance practices and electrical troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), hydraulics systems, pneumatic troubleshooting skills are essential
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues quickly
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints fluently in English; effective communication skills are required for team collaboration
  • Valid certifications in welding ( welding preferred), industrial electrician practices or related fields are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
