Analog Circuit Design Discipline Manager

The Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business is experiencing unprecedented growth. Our two design centers in Endicott, New York and Austin, Texas are the home for our next generation technical solutions. Engineers will develop flight and mission-critical products for commercial and military customers. As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to help lead the next generation: Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls, Aircraft Engine Controls, Ground Vehicle Power Management Systems, Aircraft Electrification Systems, Advanced Air Mobility Systems, Autonomous Flight Systems, Flight Deck Systems, Cabin Management Systems, Weapon Control Systems, and Mission Systems for the world's most prominent aircraft and vehicle manufacturers.

When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple functions and collaborate with the different business areas during all phases of the product development and production support lifecycles.


Position Summary

Join our Hardware Engineering Organization that is tasked with the architecture, design, test, and verification of high-reliability analog electronics. In this position you will lead a team of engineers that supports the development and product support of advanced avionics, for both military and commercial aircraft, including engine control computers, flight control systems, aircraft propulsion systems, cabin and cockpit electronics.

As a Hardware Engineering Manager for Analog Circuit Design you will make impacts in the following ways:
  • Own the staffing plan for analog circuit card assembly (CCA) subsystems across multiple development and production support programs.
  • Ensure hardware development processes are understood and followed.
  • Develop technology roadmaps that drive research and development planning and budgets.
  • Mentor analog circuit design engineers on signal conditioning, filtering, ADC, DAC, sensor interfaces and overall electrical engineering.
  • Support digital engineering and model-based engineering initiatives.
  • Perform performance development reviews for your employees
  • Contribute to bid & proposal activity to win new business.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills for this Position:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 10 or more years of industry experience designing and testing analog circuit card assemblies (CCA)
  • Experience leading a team through design and/or qualification within the military or aerospace industry
  • Experience design, analysis and verification of analog-to-digital converted interfaces such as RTDs, thermocouples, strain gauges, VDTs, synchros, resolvers and various voltage and current monitors.
  • Experience with design, analysis and verification of digital-to-analog converted interfaces such as solenoid and relay drivers, torque motor drivers, stepper motor drivers, voltage and current sources
  • Experience writing, designing to, and verifying hardware requirement specifications
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and lab debug
  • Experience with driving process improvements within an organization
  • Familiar with designing for EMI/EMC, lightning protection, DO-160 DO-254
  • Familiar with agile development, digital engineering and model-based engineering
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills for this Position:
  • MS/MEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 15 or more years of aerospace industry experience designing and testing analog circuit card assemblies (CCA)
  • 3 or more years experience in functional management or leading complex electronic design teams.
  • Experience with mentoring and leading a team of circuit designers on complex high reliability electronics for aerospace
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition® EDM (engineering data management) tool suite
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Experience with bid & proposal creation for new business
  • Familiar with design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, SIMPLIS, Matlab, and MathCad
  • Familiar with RF design, digital communications and power electronics.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
