Wage Range:  $31.00 - 33.00

JOB SUMMARY 

 

Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of facilities operations, including major mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, safety, and emergency response. Supervises and develops facilities staff while coordinating with internal departments to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. Responsible for maintaining operational readiness, supporting regulatory compliance, managing incidents, and identifying opportunities to improve facility performance and service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES   

 Technical and Operational Duties: 

  • Oversee design, operation, and troubleshooting of major mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, exhaust, cleanroom air systems, and process cooling water systems  

  • Conduct inspections, coordinate repairs, and manage preventive maintenance plans  

  • Develop and implement site emergency response plans and serve as the emergency coordinator 

  • Maintain security, safety, and operational readiness of facilities, including reporting incidents and accidents 

 

Leadership and Team Management: 

  • Supervise and provide directions to facilities staff, program staff, and volunteers 

  • Train and mentor facilities team members on operational and safety procedures 

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Procurement, Merchandising, and Operations to enhance service and efficiency 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS-   

   

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Associate degree and/or certification in Engineering, Technical Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields  

  • Relevant certifications may include HVAC, PMP, NIMS, EPA, IFMA, CPR, PMI, CAPM, BOMA, or CFM  

  • Must have a valid driver’s license 

  • Must ski or snowboard at an intermediate level for access to on mountain facillities 

 

Experience: 

  • Proven experience in facilities management, mechanical systems, or operational leadership  

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills  

  • Ability to interpret regulations, manage budgets, and implement operational improvements  

  • Competence in emergency response planning, safety training, and incident reporting 

   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-   

  • This position is required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation.  

  • A worker in this position must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential      functions to the job with or without reasonable accommodations.   

  • Position may require sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or bending on an occasional basis.   

  • May be required to lift 50+ lbs. to perform essential functions.   

  • May be required to maneuver up to 160lbs.
